Copenhagen Canals: Boat tour + Nyhavn

19 Sep

Three Fridays ago, when we got out of class, the weather was beautiful!!  I figured it would be the best time to take a tour of the harbor and canals by boat before the weather gets nippy.  We opted for the more expensive tour (70kr), thinking it would be worth it.  I don’t know if the cheaper tour was less of an experience, but I did not think it was worth the money.  My entire goal was to visit the Nyhavn canal and it was only pointed out as we passed it to tour less interesting canals.  It also got chillier as the sun played hide-and-seek behind the clouds.  I did however get some awesome photos, which just may have been worth the kroner.

Thank you Christian IV for bankrupting Denmark to bring to us today so many beautiful buildings and palaces!

So his past Wednesday, during my day off, Avery and I decided to finally adventure down to Nyhavn, the ever-famed harbor with those cute and colorful row houses.  The day turned out to be sunny and the scenery was just as picturesque as I had hoped.

Was it naïve for me to think all of Copenhagen would look like this when I signed up?
